Sandrani is an ensemble fusing together classical Indian Raag and folk song with Western-style grooves, African music, and improvisations. Featuring musicians of Indian, English, Mauritian and Italian heritages, the group creates truly global, forward thinking music and was formed when its experienced and dedicated members decided to come together and fuse their various backgrounds and styles to create something exciting and new. As each member of Sandrani has brought their own individual approach, experimentation and innovation has stimulated the evolution of a music that is both exciting yet easily accessible for all.
