GemArts Masala Festival - A weeklong festival celebrating a mix and blend of the finest South Asian Arts and Culture

The Magic Fish - A classic Indian tale retold through dance, storytelling and beatboxing for young thinking minds.

Vishnu, one of India’s shape-shifting Supergods, wakes up after sleeping for thousands of years to find a greedy demon called No-Knowledge has taken earth’s most precious treasures for himself. Enlisting the help of King Manu to save the essentials for life, Vishnu changes his form into something quite unexpected! In this interactive performance, boys and girls are invited to join King Manu’s adventure in a new production to enchant all children aged 5+.

This new work gives young audiences their first taste of a classic Indian myth and Bharatanatyam - India’s oldest classical dance form.

Communicating big ideas to small children, ATMA Dance's modern take on matsya, a classic tale about an Avatar of Vishnu, one of India’s Supergods, inspires curiosity about the essentials for life on earth.

The Magic Fish is created by ATMA Dance’s Mayuri Boonham, a contemporary South Asian choreographer and Affiliate to the Royal Ballet (2012-2014), using movement, music and spoken word.
