Khyal: Music and Imagination 'Indian Voices'
Continuing GemArts' work with Durham University this free concert offers audiences the rare opportunity to see internaitonally acclaimed singer Sudokshina Chatterjee perform in Durham and also welcome rising star Surashree Ulhas Joshi for her first UK performance.
This concert is part of the AHRC funded Durham University and GemArts project Khyal: Music and Imagination, which aims to sitmulate new forms of artistic production based on interactions between performers, ethnomusicologists and visual artists, and to promote public engagement with music and visual arts. Other partners on the project Laing Art Gallery and Darbar.
