Singh Strings Ensemble
Singh Strings is truly a family affair. Led by Dharambir Singh, one of the most prominent Sitar players and Indian music educators based in England, and disciple of the legendary Sitar maestro Ustad Vilayat Khan, this concert will transport audiences on a soulful journey through a selection of beautiful evening ragas. Dharambir will be accompanied by his two sons: Kaviraj on santoor, whose ability to create peaceful yet energetic moods when performing is an important characteristic of his musical personality; and Upneet, a gifted, young Tabla player who began learning at the tender age of 5 and has learnt from many maestros as well as performing at prestigious venues across the UK.
