Mercury Prize nominated, Susheela Raman, known for her outstanding cross cultural collaborations, is one of the UK’s most talented singers. This concert features her UK associates, guitarist-producer Sam Mills and ‘urban tabla’ virtuoso Aref Durvesh, working with three extraordinary Rajasthani musicians: Nathoo Solanki, the unrivalled master of the Nagara Drum; Kutle Khan, known for his singing and breathtaking skills on the kartel (wooden castenets); and Rana Ram Bhil playing the highly evocative Narh flute. These individuals carry a weight of precious musical knowledge and mastery with them, but all transcend tradition to stand as star performers in their own right.
