Travellers' Tales

Travellers’ Tales is a short animation project delivered by GemArts. The animation was created by Traveller young people from St Wilfred’s Catholic Primary, St Alban’s Catholic Primary and Brandling Primary School, Gateshead.

Working alongside GemArts and animation artist, Lesley-Anne Rose, in partnership with EMTAS, young people created an animation piece that explores heritage, history and the culture of UK Traveller communities today.

Like much of GemArts work, this project positively promotes cultural awareness, exploring and celebrating the rich diversity within Gateshead.
